OVERHAULS

My overhauls take about 1 week, depending on the condition of the horn.  Below is a list of what is traditionally completed during my overhauls.  If there is something on this list that you want to leave out or something that you want added that is not on the list, let me know!  I will talk with you before and after to make sure everything is as you expect and want. 

I warrantee my work for 1 year.  Warrantee void if someone else does work on the horn, or if horn is dropped, etc...

(basically anything that changes NOT due to my workmanship).

           OVERHAULS INCLUDE

 

  • Checking and addressing alignment

  • Complete disassembly

  • Cleaning

  • Minor dent repair

  • Address tone holes

  • Removing oxidation from rods

  • Replace all pads with pads/resonators of choice

  • Replace springs as needed

  • Replace corks and felts as needed

  • Removing any play in keywork

  • Adjusting action

  • Complete lubricating and oiling mechanisms

  • Reassembly

  • Play test
