"In 2007 I rescued a 1940s Conn 10M 'Naked Lady' tenor saxophone from a school system. When I got the horn it was clear it had been abused by young students and was absolutely unplayable. It needed everything from pads and springs to dent work and a complete rebuild of the octave mechanism. I gave the sax to Alex and when I got it back I thought it was a different horn. I still use the Conn as one of my main horns and Alex's work has stood up to years of gigging. Alex is a truly gifted repairman. I want him to work on all my horns!"

“I recently learned about Alex on the Internet. A Conn Alto 6M was given to me a couple of years ago and I was never happy with its performance. I had two separate repair technicians try to resolve the problem without success. I thought I would give Alex a shot. When I got it back, the problem was fixed and at a reasonable price. Because of the success with the alto, I decided to give him my Martin Tenor (which I was gigging with for several tears) and asked him to give it a tune-up. The sound was good when I gave it to him, and utterly fantastic when I got it back. There is no doubt in my mind that Alex will be giving my horns a checkup every year.”

“Alex worked on a few saxophones for my school and I was extremely pleased with the results. He cleaned and fixed all of them with efficiently and with great care, and made sure everything was working as it should. I would highly recommend him!

John Smith, Boston, MA

“A Conn 6M naked lady alto saxophone was passed down to me from my great-grandfather. After years of sitting in a basement, it was no surprise that the saxophone was not in playing condition and needed a lot of work.

I asked around to some fellow saxophone players and soon made connection with Alex. He took it in his care immediately and gently and quickly brought it back to an authentic playing quality. When I got it back, it was clean and beautiful and sounded great!

Alex does great work and I would recommend him for instruments of any year and any level! Even a few years later, he is still the first person I think of when I, or someone I know needs woodwind repair. Thanks Alex!”

Holly Gallant, Ashburnham, MA

I have used AHF Sax Repair on several of my instruments, my student's instruments, and instruments belonging to Westminster Elementary School. Not only has Alex been flexible and accommodating, but he has completed great work in a timely manner. He has not had a problem with me trying the instruments before I take them home. His work is comparable to the best repair shops in the area, while keeping his rates reasonable for the students and their families.

After one of my students had a problem with her clarinet, she brought it to one of the local stores. Her instrument was not repaired to playable condition. Alex offered to fix the clarinet and not charge her what she had already paid the local store. This was the ultimate move in customer service. AHF Sax Repair is the first place I recommend to bring any woodwind instrument.
