Alex Flinkstrom is has played the saxophone for two decades, and has a Bachelors in Music Performance with a Concentration in Sound Recording Technology from The University of Massachusetts at Lowell, where he studied saxophone under Ken Reid.

Alex has been repairing saxophones since 2007 starting with his own.  After building a clientele and working off referrals, Alex branched into repairing flutes and clarinets for friends, for school systems, and eventually the public.

Knowing the instrument inside and out, Alex has the ears and eyes to quickly diagnose problems, and has the hands and know-how to expertly resolve problems.  A self-proclaimed perfectionist, Alex's attention to detail is highly appreciated by his clients.  He works with the musician to find out exactly what their wants and needs are, because he knows that no two instruments are the same--and no two players are the same.

"I am passionate about getting to the bottom of and fixing issues with instruments, and I get a great sense of pride when I hear a player tell me that they didn't know their instrument could play so well and feel so good.  Being a player myself, I can truly appreciate the difference between an instrument that is not playing at its best and one that is.  My goal is to get your instrument in top playing condition. So, what can I do for your axe?" -Alex Flinkstrom
